I agree. Most of the people chatting sh*t on the internet would NEVER say the things they say to a real person. I've done about it in my degree; Deindividualisaton- People will act how the never would in the real world because they think they have no means of being tracked back to their actions, and it's descraceful.

I read yesterday in an article in the independant that children should not be taught Dickens because they haven't 'the attention span for long term goals' which shows how society has declined if children can't be taught some of the best literature ever written. I think this links in with the whole deindividualisation and attention span of modern day children.

I just wish that every one of these 'trolls' could be identified and be ridiculed for how they have hurt people via the internet.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for free speech, but people should be aware of consequences of what they say and how they can affect another individual.

Just my thoughts anyways.

Slightly off topic, but I read that article on Dickens. My wife's a teacher and she does the Christmas Carol with her children each year. Now, I'd like to think of myself as fairly well read but I picked up a Christmas Carol the other year and actually found it pretty hard going. Enjoyed it but thought the language is quite difficult to get your head round. I certainly wouldn't have got it if I'd read it to myself at primary school. But my wife says her kids love it. I reckon kids do have the attention span for Dickens but a teacher reading it to them and bringing it to life is needed.

Or maybe thats just me. Perhaps I should get my wife to read it to me before bedtime next year.
