Is anyone with a brain and eyes really surprised at this ? How 'the club' handles fans who don't fit into their view ? Who may fall foul of policies and procedures ? More people ought to kick off - it might make things or personnel change.
I just think this is a blinkered attack on BFC because he couldn't get his own way. I don't believe for a second that BFC didn't offer an alternative. Maybe he's hiding something.
pmsl. oh the irony of you saying blinkered when it is you who is blindly saying 'i bet they offered an alternative' despite the club being given the chance to speak and failing to tell ANY reporter what this supposed alternative of yours was. Don Rowing himself has given a statement. That statement states health and safety, flying balls, as the reason. It states that under 5s are not welcome at oakwell and does not give ANY indication that an alternative was given. But hey ho, you know best John.
I know our club isn't perfect, but I'm 100% behind them in this instance. I have my reasons, and I will stick by them. This is just one individual who has thrown his toys out of the pram and dragged our club through the mud because he couldn't get his own way.
LDRed why dont you ask the club what they offered me, heres a clue it starts with noth and ends with ing. I've never discussed or tried to discuss simething with someone so blinkered. Do you just disagree for reaction? PS. Thanks to all if the genuine support, and there has been honestly 100's. Appreciated. See you all this season, Yooo Reds!!
I sit near this family and the little lad attended all games last season and thoroughly enjoyed himself. He never caused any problems for anybody sat near him by kicking seats etc. The club were quite happy to take his money then so why not now, its a stupid, crass decision and Don Rowing should be ashamed. They will not only lose this little lad as a supporter but probably his mum, dad and big sister, money the club cannot afford to lose. I love my club with a passion ever since my dad took me as a nipper. This will stay with me forever. To think this little boy may now not get that same experience is saddening
Get a great banner done and unfurled for Boro match with `Equality for my 3 year old son` or `Rowing is a lovely person`or owt you find appropriate. Get it out there and let everyone know and rub their faces in as much mud as you can. Your club, your son and your entertainment enjoyed by being stronger together as a family. Good luck.
Great - first day of the season and our players are walking out to a banner saying 'Rowing is a lovely person' Brilliant, let's proper get behind the team!
I cant believe how much attention this has got, the club turned him down for reasons which they enforced, all the moaning and dragging the club through the mud isnt going to change that stance. So shut up Mr Dale and either post your season ticket back to the club and stay away or go to oakwell and give your support, not fetching a pathetic banner or making sure everyone within ear shot of you in the ground knows its you who has been badly treated!!!!
Of course, I was being serious with that wasn`t I. I couldn`t possibly tell the fella what to have on the banner and just maybe one or two of the players with kids would be behind him in a quiet sort of way.
Just started reading the Barnsley book with all the fan contributions. Notice a lot talk about going as or going with very young children. I don't have a strong view of the allow/don't allow debate. All I can say is in my experience a very young child is hard to keep still for 90 mins.
Dont worry about it we are just 2 gadgies wasting time on a message board. Serious moi really. Sarcastic never.
