He's been done there, mate! Celtic v Rangers or Barnsley v Rochdale in the League Cup on a rainy night at Oakwell!!! Mmmmm... Wouldn't mind seeing Barca and Real Madrid neither - I've a soft spot for Barca too...
RE: He's been done there, mate! I actually have a soft spot for both Barca and Real! He's been well and truely done
And the season after (?) when we played them in the cup - Shearer cheating, diving, elbowing and whining his little heart out while the ref just ignored it all - we got some stick off their fans then 'n' all...
Well that always was shearer, ******, but great striker. How someone can refuse to speak to the media as an England captain then join the BBC is so unbelievably two faced...
Well... The original club Emley AFC is now Wakefield FC.
AFC Emley are a new club formed in 2005 and play Northern Counties East Football League.

RE: Well... why no emley? they were doing ok surely? did the council decide it wanted a Wakefield team and incentivise the club to move?
I think Shearer is the reason I don't like Newcastle. I'm not a big fan of international football so his days in an England shirt had no bearing on how I felt about him cheating us (and other "little" clubs too). When Dalglish was in charge and they had to play Stevenage in the cup - the lack of respect showed to them, regards the venue, by NUFC was disgraceful...
they must be the club with the worst luck for players, extremely overpaid though but some arguebly great players have turned out crap, Kluivert, Owen so far, Boumsong, Luque, Babeyaro any more?
RE: He's been done there, mate! I had to Google that, mate - I thought Morbo was the alien news anchor of Futurama!
They were doing fine but The Northern Premier league changed the rules regarding grounds and they had to move to a new ground to stay in the league. More info here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AFC_Emley

RE: He's been done there, mate! Very interesting read....I may have to get the updated version as more on Deportivo in it.
RE: He's been done there, mate! I'm going to take a guess that you've posted that 'cos it highlights the incompatibilities of having a soft spot for both Barca and Real?
RE: He's been done there, mate! Yes....very interesting how the history of football in Spain is almost a metaphor for the history of Spain itself.
