Yes, especially when a certain person starts going on about 'the national scene'

and then starts bragging about the free England trips he's GOT to go on.

I stopped going a while back.

Have you not been listening. I am not opposed to asking questions except the type of inane questions listed by National Red.

Dont you want to know who is signing the players?

    Because I do.

I also want to know why Davey thinks he is the man for the job.

So what answer do you expect to get to those two questions?

    Honest answers,

if its not the manager who is signing the players then I can vent my fury elsewhere when they turn out to be no better than what we have. (As seen by the four players we have seen so far).

If Davey doesnt speak like he believes he is the best man for the job and have a believable vision of how the club can move forward then I would be very disappointed that he has been appointed.

    RE: Honest answers,

Well I'll tell you what answers I think you'll get. They may not be word for word but I'm sure they will be very close.

    1) I (Davey) choose the players and Mr Shepherd signs them!

    2) Because I have total confidence in the ability of my staff and myself, to do the job that we have been asked to do and I just ask that you judge us at the end of the season, not now.

If you or anyone else expects anything different, then you are living in cloud cuckoo land.

Answer , no one would believe that Davey wanted the 4 we have signed.

Part 2) I could say that but I doubt anyone would believe me , I guess you have to be there for answer 2.

RE: Answer , no one would believe that Davey wanted the 4 we have signed.

    The 4 players already signed!
Wallwork, but for his "injury" would almost certainly have been the best midfielders seen at BFC for some years.
McCann has only played once so far in the position that he considers to be his best so we are unable to make a definitive judgement.
Reid has played few games where he hasn't had to bolster up an unreliable fullback behind him, again, unfair to judge him yet.
Knight, a gamble that might have paid off but didn't. It happens all the time in professional football.

I seem to remember (though I have no way of corroborating it) a statement saying that Davey in collaboration with Martin Wilkinson, had identified certain players (ie the above 4) and that Shepherd had then done the deals to get them here.

As for your comments on the second item, I'm sorry but I just don't understand what you are trying to say.

Do you understand the phrase "its not what you say but how you say it"?

I thought I have made it clear thats what I was saying.

You are blinded by the results with respect to Wallwork , he looked Sunday league against Ipswich.

McCann was signed for his versatility by all accounts , he however seems to think he can only play 1 position does he? , still now he is getting to play where he wants he might start running.

Reid has done OK but looks no better than what we had.

You are correct all signings are a gamble , however when you have full knowledge of how a player has performed at a level you take less of a gamble and its more belief. Knight has proven he cant operate at this level so was a complete and utter waste of money. I would have said effort also , but he didnt appear to make any so I didnt.

I understand English perfectly well but I have to admit, I do struggle sometimes with your version of it. It must be all that time you spent in France.
