I've added a comment, putting them right on a few stats, but it needs 'approving' first, so suspect it'll never appear. I've no doubt their lads will give it a right go - they've got absolutely nothing to lose and shouldn't have any nerves, but I just don't see our team as being the sort that will crack under pressure. Predicting a narrow defeat - 1-0 or 2-1 to them.

Knowing us it will be 1-0 to them and then they will score to make it 2-0 at around the 80minute mark giving us that customary relaxing last 10 minutes

    - Mind you I prediced a tense last 10 minutes at Wigan so hopefully I am spectacularly wrong again

Just remind him that Walsall were promoted via playoffs in 2001, finished 4th

Only been to Walsall once. Bassett dropped Hignett. I was fuming before kick off. Their keeper was sent off but they took the lead. Second half we battered him once Hignett was on. Shipperley nearly broke the net with one goal and Sheron scored his first goal in about 23 years. Which set him off on a run of form. I seem to recall Appleby scoring n all. Great day in the end.

    I'd take 0-0 tomorrow, mind.

He got a hat trick in a 3-0 home win. I had a rare visit to the West Stand lower that day

That was the same season, but the home game. 3-2 victory. Left foot finish, header and a sublime right foot lob in stoppage time for his hat-trick. Best player to wear the shirt in my years, nobody comes close to how excited I was when he laiked for us. Different class.

I was there that day and was also fuming hignett had been 'dropped', however I heard a story only a couple of weeks ago that Basset had allowed him to go away on holiday the previous week to Spain or somewhere saying he could have a rest as he would be able to manage without him. No idea of the truth of the story.
