Devaneys clause was he had to be told of any bids/enquiries. Not that it was a minimum amount to say we had to sell if I remember rightly.
If it's right about us actually meeting the buy out clause, whether it's £300,000 or £400,000, Carlisle can't do anything about it. They officially rejected a bid which either means we didn't reach the buyout clause and Carlisle won't accept anything less or there isn't a buyout clause and the Twitter rumours are wrong.
That's pretty much what I said. He was allowed to speak to them, but we didn't necessarily have to sell him for that amount.
i mean 400k isnt a lot really, but it might take a big chunk of our budget up unless we're expecting someone else to go out for a fee?
Yes you did. I didn't read it all. And got interupted by the Mrs. And ended up replying before reading the rest. Bloody women!
I honestly cannot see us spending £400,000 on a player who is only 19 years old from a League 2 side unless someone is going. In my opinion, it'll be Holgate.
Oops, buy out is 300k apparently, i think we can afford him but like i said, not without it taking an huge chunk from our budget
Still a lot of money for us. We're obviously very confident he can hack it in The Championship if we did go back up during his contract.
Maybee we are expecting mason holgate to depart to villa. Just a guess just seems alot for us to shell out for one player and talk of liam kelly coming plus we will have to pay mawson tribunal.
If the guy on their forum is right in him turning down MK Dons and Huddersfield for us that would look good in us beating championship clubs to yet another signing.
But would it be good if we got him because we was the only club to allow a £600'000 buy out clause that kicks in after 12 months. ?
I know we are stupid alot of the time but why would we allow a league 2 player have a buy out clause? I can see why we do it for proven guys or highly rated premiership youngsters, but not some level 4 inexperienced kid.
