    I know your post is a bit tongue in cheek but I do think we are probably lacking some leadership without them two. It’s a very young squad.

    Just watching Spain v Italy and even some of the other games that have passed involving Germany and France and I think we might as well get next plane home. No fluidity to our football at all. Glad we didn't get Scotland's group.

    How have I proved your point?

    There’s not a single winger Grealish deserves to be in the squad over.

    His role at City is a squad player who normally starts when the opposition have a decent right winger & the left back might need a bit more protection than what Doku gives him.

    Gordon’s won the Euro’s last summer with the U21’s winning player of the tournament & has been one of the very best players in the premier league last season.

    Even in his ‘prime’ when Grealish was at his best he’s never put together a season as good as the one Gordon’s just had.

    Just glad I didnt watch the game. Sounds as if this thread was more entertaining with what I've read during the thrilling cricket between overs. :).
    Wake me up if we get to the final. I might watch the first 10 minutes and be surprised at how great we are to watch.

    IMHO if Gareth Southgate wasn't the England Manager we would have already won another World Cup and our first European Championship and possibly the Nations league too during the time he has been manager. His cautious approach continues to stifle the players and his tactical ineptitude creates problems during games and he doesn't have the tactical ability to change things.

    In Scarbrough at the moment. Before the game it was so quiet I thought Boris had done another you must stay at home announce.

    Although I did spot a tarn fan with JTB ( I think) on the back of one of our old dark blue away tops.

    Stick with the boys, we’ve all but qualified, and reluctantly my trip has now been extended.

    Gareth showed balls again tonight, whether you agree with his decisions or not. Some players have proved that the gamble hasn’t paid off, some have shown they’re full international players. Some have yet to, and ive no doubt will get their chance in the next game.

    we need to stick with the side. He’s got Tuesday to prove we can get a side to beat the big nations. I back the man to do it. Judge once the tournament is over! Currently for England that’s a long way from being the case.

    No manager we've ever tried has managed it though...quite a few couldn't even qualify or get through the group stage.
