Absolute sht show…. They should have gone down last year… their fans still think they’re a massive club and should be allowed to ignore all the embargo’s. They’re like Wednesday fans who after every ridiculous comment say “mi duck”.
I’m not sure on that one @Redhelen, but I know I would not be signing anything that didn’t say how much I would be getting paid, especially at that club
I didn’t know Jags was there on trial. Great player in his day, so no disrespect, but does show Derby’s desperation.
Lol at the quiz at the bottom. A "Derby County" quiz. First question: what year was Rooney born? I didn't read on. Most probably involves questions like Wayne Rooney's favourite boots/car/animal/chicken nuggets.
Mark Crossley on the Undr The Cosh podcast told his contract story when he signed for Forest it was blank. He signed it as he trusted Cloughie and he did look after Big Norm and paid him more than discussed. Crossley said looking back it was sort of a test to see what your attitude/personality is like. Crossley said Cloughie was an expert at that type of thing. Grounding you when needed but could make you feel like the best player in the world. Anyone who hasn't listened to that podcast..... do yourself a favour and do.
You'd have to be absolutely bonkers to sign it. They're going under by the looks of it so why would you give yourself that hassle? Id rather sign for a league one club and know I can pay my mortgage.
As an aside to the OP thread. I posted last week or so about WRDCFC that their embargo means they can only sign out of contract players or loans. EVERY deal can only be a maximum of 1 year and every contract must firstly be ratified by the EFL to make sure they haven't broken the strict salary caps enforced by the EFL.
Some sort of fiddle to get round the transfer embargo? If so they should have an immediate points deduction.
