Ditto! I was “persuaded “ to part with my meticulously compiled scrapbooks a few years ago but at least they went to a family member who is also a Red. I would hope she is looking after them as well as I did.

Some great memories indeed, I can't believe it was so long ago, I would have been 21 years old!
We played some good Football under Clarkie, enjoyed many matches back then.

Loved the old chant too; Allan Clarke is cooler than the Fonz, Allan Clarke is cooler than the Fonz!

Some awesome memories there, started watching in 1972 with 2,000 fans. Went with my dad and great uncle (long departed - who both told me it wasn't always thus) and my brothers and some of my dad's mates (who had switched allegiance from Leeds). Massive masterstroke bringing Clarke in. My younger brother "interviewed" him in 1979 for a school project and said he was a great bloke who made the time for school kids Remembered walking out to the west upper when we played our home game against (I think Torquay) with 12,000 there. Blown away and then the 21,000 against Grimsby, just awesome. The away games were an absolute hoot, usually outnumbered the home fans and strolled around where we liked

Strangely enough I was fortunate enough to interview the 80/81 team, including Norman Hunter, for my Social Studies project. My mate Frank still has the cassette I believe.

When I was editor of the London Branch monthly newsletter at the end of the 1980s - the Reds Review - I wanted to interview some of the players but the only way it could be done was to send the club my list of questions and the player would give written answers for publication in the next issue . The first one was David Currie, our newly arrived star striker from Darlington. I can’t remember the details but he didn’t have much of interest to say. Maybe I didn’t ask the right questions...

I was fourteen and that was my third season as a regular and my first for away trips. Sparkling season.

biggest change since then? The average age of the crowd!!

Even with only 12 at Torquay with Kal and Fred there the moaning would be off the scale. Ash liked a moan but his were more laidback ;)

I was one of the 12 also. Tuesday night game. When we arrived (eventually!) there was another coach there from Royston I believe so 12 is a slight underestimate.
