So what if he was the player that put the crosses in for the goals that got all this money of which you speak? It could have been anyone in the squad. The fact is that whilst he got us promoted (as part of a team i might add, not individually) and then as part of a squad helped keep us up gives him no devine right to stay. He'd never leave if that was the case!

Look at the bigger picture, if your being honest, you'd be able to count on 1 hand the amount of decent games he had last season. 2 excellent crosses does no make a great player.

Devaney can't cross a ball?? We would not have been in the Quarter or Semi-Finals last season without his crosses.
We wouldn't have been in the semi without Odjobs goal but very few people would be sorry to see him go. Devaney is no more effective in his position than Odjob is in his. He would be no big loss.
You reckon "anyone" in the squad could have put in that ball for Foster at Anfield and for Odejayi against Chelsea?
Quatermass got it right halfway up! On his day he is one of the better players in the Championship! Unfortunately that only happens 2/3 times a season. other than two superb crosses in the FA Cup I cant remember any other match winning performances he certainly isnt one of our better performers.
I think you've totally failed to see my point. Well done. But yes. They're all professional footballers, they practice that sort of thing everyday. Hassell, Van Homoet, Devaney, JCR, Howard, Leon. Anyone that has the capacity to play down either flank and put crosses into the box. Anyone of those players are capable of delivering 2 quality crosses a season. As i said, 2 crosses in one season does not make him a good player.
not our best player but a very good one at that. really hope we keep onto him, wouldn't fancy seeing him drop with blackpool
Having Read What Davey Says About It...... I wonder what the point of a clause is that allows you to speak to another club, even though the club don't have to sell you....... http://www.barnsleyfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10309~1336043,00.html
