Apart from the fact that, He beat men for fun, put some cracking balls in the box, set up one goal and was man of the match, nothing at all. **** me, we ant half got some losers for fans. Next scapegoat....... Stephen Foster I reckon.
Absolutely spot on Final ball was poor at times on Tuesday but he had the Wednesday defence scared shitless throughout the game, burst through for that one on one in the first half that the keeper made a good save from, and nearly scored with a cracking shot about 15 minutes into the game! Our strikers have a lot to answer for when it comes to balls in to the box, they just don't push on enough.
plymouth away 2 goals out of nothing, watford at home volley, leeds at home volley good enough for this level but not consistent enough, unfortunately he looks like been made into the next scapegoat!
There are much better wingers about who would join us, i am not talking world beaters just players who can beat the first man when crossing the ball. Liverpool and chelsea dont count, 2 out of 20 is not a good cross completion rate.
Spot on Bobthenob He's crap!!! He's a liability!! Steve Foster will not be a scapegoat!!! He's a proven championship player!! If not premier league!
Sounds like you've got something personal against Devaney to me We have to cut our cloth - if you hadn't noticed - and he's a long way off being our worst player. At times he is best we've got, some times he's inspired. You need a reality check.
I'm not saying we should let him go. I agree with you. I'm not saying I wouldn't sell him - every player at Barnsley has his price - but talking about booting him out is silly talk.
and there's another factor... ...even when his end product is lacking, his runs lift the crowd which in turn lifts the rest of the team.</p> Remember yesterday, when he ran himself raggy-arsed all across the pitch harrying their defenders, chasing a ball he was never gonna get? Got a huge cheer from the crowd, followed by a chorus of "Come on You Reds"</p> It all helps. </p>
You've been laying it on pretty thick - he's useless, he's crap, he's a liability etc etc sorry if my interpretation of that is that you think it's time to get shut. Then again, we could just replace him with the countless number of better and more consistent options that are beating the door down at Oakwell - Giggs, Ronaldo, I understand Beckham is looking at a loan move to Milan - we might just get in there quick enough to hijack the deal...
