It was a poor miss but just one of those things that happens ball bounced up at speed and he just misjudged it. It happens. Reminds me of the Kieffer Moore miss from a similar position (with his foot).

I think our poorer attacking play came from the edge of the box when players made the wrong decisions

 

It had beaten the defender and hit Cole and went over.. thats why it was a goalkick and not a corner. He literally stopped Brittians header going in..

 

Undoubtedly distracted by the high foot just in front of him. Definitely pushed in the back. Still should have scored as I'm sure he'll admit himself. Every striker misses good chances. The good ones score more than they miss. Hopefully he'll do that for us.

 

It's nice to finally have someone in a position to miss a chance.

 

It was a poor miss but at least he was in the six yard box sniffing for the chance to miss it.

I don’t mind strikers missing chances, that happens. I mind strikers hiding on the wing or in midfield and not busting a gut to get in the box.

It was a better performance yesterday than we’ve seen in a while. But I can’t help but think that is partly because the opposition was poorer than we’ve had for a bit as well, we still lost the game, and still conceded two goals, in my view, borne of poor setup and under coaching.

Devante Cole missing that chance isn’t the reason we lost.

 

How was it a poor miss,should have been a pen,you try and head a ball if I am pushing you violently in back,the defenders push alters speed he met ball,high kicking pushing all at a speed ref never gonna give owt

 

Cole looks ok on his return he’s certainly improved from a low bar. One of the summer successes so far
