Dirk Hartog ........would rather have the Queen running the country than Tony Blair !!!

Joke right :pff
Please tell me this was a joke

Because the women you said should lead the country cannot even give a speech without reading it from a piece of paper
She definatly is not capable of writing a speech
I have no feelings either way for the royal family but to say these inbreds can think logically and run the country is taking it too far

No joke Nudger. And seeing as your main criteria for running the country is the ability to give a speech then get settled with good old Tone. The biggest conman of them all. Hope you'll be happy together.

Start Again! " A Very British Coup"

Book by ex Labour MP Chris Mullins. Tells of the election of an extreme Left Wing Prime Minister, and the attempts by the Establishment to bring him down.

Made into a Channel 4 film with Ray MacAnally

"Former steel worker Harry Perkins, has, against all the odds, led the Labour Party to a stunning victory at the general election. His manifesto includes the removal of American bases, public control of finance, and the dismantling of the newspaper monopolies. The Establishment is appalled by the prospect, and secretly decides that something must be done. As M15 conspires with the city and the press barons, Perkins the PM finds himself in a no-holds-barred battle for survival..."A Very British Coup" is a clever blend of fact and fiction and links to the plots and schemes that were undoubtedly mounted against Harold Wilson's Labour government. Its success as a TV series focused attention on the activities of people who would rather not have been noticed. "The Times" described it 'as rattling along with great speed and credibility'; the "New Statesman" saw it as 'a world of power struggle in Downing Street, Fleet Street, Whitehall and Washington'; while the "Observer" called it 'a delicious fantasy.'"

their are just a few people,

that, no matter who is PM and who is in charge or have any authority, will always have to question and pick spots off everything they ever do but never are able to put a view forward on a solution/backup to their own question/statement.

so, question...

who would you put in charge then?

Well she wouldn't ignore Parliament and the democratic process like BlairĀ has done. He rules by diktat. We have a supreme ruler at the moment.

And while he's there he's filling his piggy bank as quick as he can.

Did you see the wild eyed Colonol Blimp character?

Only been sailing dowmn the Rhine for two weeks and returned to find the country in turmoil... that must have been some two weeks. Wasn't Airey Neave and the twins of evil (MacWhirters) heavilly involved in all this? I think that is what Spycatcher was all about.
