Telling for me, that moments after Davies received ironic abuse from Ponty for actually kicking down the middle, he dropped his clanger for their first.

We don't help our players sometimes...

Spot on. Luke Steele (or Adam Davies for that matter) never cost us a goal from his kicking (unless you count the dodgy charge from his goal and mishit away at Ipswich about 5 years ago) therefore I think the poor kicking arguments are completely pointless.

IMHO Davies is far better taking the ball at corners and commands the area better than Steele. At times I felt that Steele, although he was a great shot stopper, hardly commanded his six yard area let alone the penalty area.

Yes, I thought they both were in, but there was a lack of reaction from the east stand, west stand or their players for theirs, so I have to assume I was wrong

I was in the esupper bang in line with the goal. It looked to both me and ark that he'd walked it in.

From my seat high in the ponty end, Cole's goal looked well over, more than it does on tv!! I think the lino gave it more for everyone cheering. Davies looked to carry the ball over his line by about 2 yards, the lino was only just running back to the dead ball line as Davies got back in front of the line!!

Paused it on the Football League Show and it was wayyyy over the line. But had the match been 0-0 at the time I wonder if the Lino would have still given it. Easy to do when a team is losing by three.
