    No,

Like SM says, I don't think many did. Been impressed this season, and long may it continue. The timing of his appointment did not help after an abject performance against the Fowls nor did the bulling up of his qulaifications (where had we heard that before?) or the ill advised comments by PC (again) about an experienced man etc etc

Just shows how little those outside the game really know. Or that theres no exact science to picking a manager, GS/PC had more access to him and obviously liked what they could see and so far it is paying off.

I think I said similar at the time of HumblePieGate, everyone was basing there opinion on what they were seeing on the pitch.

I was happy to give him a chance, but did moan at his appointment

    </p>

Without getting carried away, I think his appointment has been nothing short of a stroke of genius. I hope he becomes the first manager to stay with us for 5 seasons+since, well, when was the last one?

Not at all. Thought him lightweight and hesitant, however...

... my own jury is still out on him. For sure, there's nothing to be too critical of, on the contrary! but he needs to guide us to a respectable league finish for me.
Done well so far, bought wisely and effectivley. Last year he showed what he could do with his back to the wall, this year he needs to progress and show all of us that he a star in the making.

    Bought wisely?

    Muller - agree
    Bruma / Van Homosex - ?
    Werling - can't defend
    Kozluk - not convinced
    Souza - headless chicken
    Foster - agree
    Ricketts - struggling
    Johnson - poor
    Mattis - struggled
    McCann - poor man's Howard
    JCR - agree
    Istvan - can't score
    Kayo - can't score
    Mostto - can't score
    Hans Christensen - ?

    3/15 - 20% hit rate.

    I don't think that's particularly wise.

    We'll see.

There's a reason why he couldn't get into the starting line up for an average Belgian side.
He's playing pretty well at the moment.

I also saw Kevin Donovan have a few cracking games.

    Small degree.

    Purchased from Derby Uni.
It's actually a HND in Sports Psychology / Candlestick Making.

We have two players who are performing very well - Muller & Souza.
In my opinion - Muller can play, but Souza will turn out to be *****.

    We'll see.

JCR? Shuker mark II so far. Flatters to deceive, beats one player every four games, can't cross, runs around a bit.

    Not for us.

    Enough said.

I also saw Dwayne Mattis look very good before he signed for us.

    Like Devaney:

Perfect in games where you're under pressure.
Give it to the quick lad on the wing so he can keep it away from our defence for a while.
    Outstanding at Stoke.

    Nicky Wroe for England.

Hate to think we'd bought a winger solely for that purpose. Agree he's an outlet, but I'd prefer him to create the goals that would put us out of sight rather than be there to help out the defence 'cos we've blown too many opportunities to finish the game off.

Agree with most of your analysis. Souza's been awesome, but it does make you wonder whether he's doing a Mulligan or whether we've unearthed a gem. Hope it's the latter.

Haven't seen enough of Mossto to judge yet, but his movement against Bristol was that of a natural predator. Just needs to receive the ball earlier and get his confidence up. Haven't seen anything from the the other striking options to get me excited. Kayo should be a bulldozer of a forward, but he's too easily brushed off the ball. Get that part of his game sorted, he could be potent.

    As it happens

Not seen the last few games as I've been on my jollies but I have seen Souza cost us goals by going to sleep early in the season. Having said that he's considerably better than A.Kay IMHO.

Muller is a class above what we have had for years.
