Did you always think Simon Davey would do well as manager ?

Souza scared me to death in his first few games. imho the addition of Foster to the back 4 has changed things beyond recognition. Nyatanga's game has improved markedly since Foster arrived as well.

Foster's readingof the game and organisational ability, even from full back has allowed the 2 central defenders to concentrate on their individual game and as a unit the back 4 looks better at the moment than it has for a long time. Dreading Foster getting injured or suspended.

Aye.

No idea where they got the idea to bring Foster in from.

Odejayi should only play 10 - 15 games this season.
He's still learning at this level & should be handled carefully.
Only injuries & under performing imports have meant he's had to play so much.

More importantly - Lenny Henry tonight.
Get in there.
I can feel your jealousy through the screen.

Gutted that I can't witness his comedic mastery. Now he does have a small degree of ability.

Can't wait.

I'll have enough material after tonight to post for at least 23 years.

If I want to be as funny as Gaz.

RE: As it happens

Muller does actually look like a real goalkeeper.
It's nice to see.

I don't think there's much between Kay (when sober) and Souza.
I do, on the other hand, think Souza is 97.23371 million times better than Paul Reid.

I also think Rohan Ricketts is a talented player.
Unfortunately for him - he'll not realise how good he could've been until he's in Macclesfield's reserves.

Being Roy Walker.

Is the best thing in the world.
If anything goes tits up - you simply blame Mr Chips.

I'll pass my Lenny Henry recording to IOWT then.
He'll post any old *****.

Id like to have a bet with you TFP.

With the one 'actual' game I've seen this season. I reckon Souza will go on to play at a higher level then the Championship.

Muller is obviously going to.

How much is the bet?

There's more chance of Stephen Hawking scoring the winning goal in the FA Cup Final than there is of Souza playing in the Prem.

There's only one Lenny Henry ...

Could see it coming a mile away.

I honestly don't think we're much better than last season - even though the squad at the start of last year cost roughly 12 pence & the current squad cost several million pounds sterling.
I also think that trusting a novice Manager with your money, but not taking a chance on a Manager who had arguably earnt it is a little bit odd.

"We've loosened up the purse strings ... erm, oops, they were never tightened in the first place".

It sounds like I'm gloating at one poor performance.
I'm not.
I'm 100% convinced that it's the start of the end.

I'd love these boys to prove me wrong, but I don't think they're good enough to do so.

RE: Could see it coming a mile away.

Its a weird one. The game v bristol we were a different team. And last night, every time we got the ball on the floor we did good things with it. Too often and also the cause of the first goal the ball was simply thumped up field from defence to nobody and it came straight back and into the net.

LONG BALL ***** - it does not work with a midget and softie up front AND it is not what we want to see. Play to our strengths and pass the ball on the floor. Give mostto balls to run onto, play the ball in behind them, use the pace of JCR, ask JCR to fekin cross the ball 1st chance he gets instead or going back round in a circle to try and do the same player again. These things are costing us massively.

The long balls crept back in on saturday and last ngiht were there far too often. We will drop through the league like a stone on those performances.

I'd love to see him beat his marker again as it would mean that he had beaten him once already. Does he ever get past his man more than once a game?
