So you think Digby has spent almost 12 months of his Barnsley career injured? Doubtful, but even if true it's not eleven months out of eleven is it.
You say it like he wanted to get injured. The normally recovery time for his injury is between 6 months and 2 years. He had added complications as it wasn't diagnosed for a while and he was pretty much bullied into playing whilst unfit. He reckons he is ready to train hard in preseason and come back ready to play so it sounds like his recovery has gone pretty well.
Personally speaking, I'd love it if both Ryan Williams & Paul Digby were fighting fit and chomping at the bit to make major contributions in our upcoming season. However, I'll respect Hecky's judgement call on the pair of them, he's certainly earned it.
Good luck to the lad he is only on £2k plus a week so must have far more to offer than the released lads
This could work for us the opposite way to the usual scenario. We usually take fringe players and turn them into decent players who then get sold on by their parent clubs. In this case, Mick has developed one of OUR players and we have got him back in (apparently) better shape than he left. Could be a star for us this season OR could be a good source of income when he is sold.
