Im not sure what your point is, given most players make mistakes and cost their team a game at some point. Besides, he was "one of the reasons". Right?
You should get a job as a Man Utd. scout. Save them the trouble of viewing him with their untrained eye.
dont worry, we have 2 very good players on trial at Manchester United but the know all's on here have decided one of them is crap and one of them can toss of because he wanted to better himself. but as long as you run around like a headless chicken you are alright.... i despair sometimes.
I don't get why so many people almost seem to want him to fail. Bit weird Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'd love him to be a good un and get to same levels as stones, he's just not going to, he can't even boss league one, he's not good enough and never will be from what I've seen of him.
Been interesting reading the opposing opinions on Digby. Some seem to think he's brilliant and going to go on and be the next Stonesy, some think he's terrible, and some have taken a more balanced view and cited injuries and no real run of games. You can only go on what your own two eyes have seen and honestly, what I saw last season wasn't good from him. He looked slow, clumsy and for someone as apparently technically gifted as him gave the ball away a lot. One match that sticks out, and which I know most on here won't have attended, was Swindon away where he was taken off at half time after slowing down every attack we made, giving the ball away, being skinned by their midfield every time and then making a farcically late, rash challenge to give away a penalty. And yet when he came on at Derby as a 16 year old, against much better opposition than last season he looked composed, technically sound and the next big thing. Since then it's safe to say his development has been hampered by injuries, and that his performances last season were partly due to this and not just him being "crap". He's still young and there must be a talented footballer there somewhere if United have taken him on trial, but it hasn't revealed itself on the pitch since his first couple of appearances and he hasn't really had the chance to coax it out. On that front, it's unfair to say he's crap and it's also ridiculous to say he's brilliant as we simply haven't seen him have a consistent run of games to form a justifiable opinion. I'd love to see him become a good player for us but at this stage, if United offer decent money for him, I'd take it.
That day at Swindon was a lot down to system and tactics but we were absolutely ***** and he was the shitest by far
Hey, less of that. There's no room for well thought out balanced judgement on here. The BBS will only allow extreme views. Things are either black, or if they're not black, they're white. So could you please amend your post to either 'he's sh!te and will never make a decent player' or 'he's the fabbest of the fab and is better than Jarzinho'.
Thing is if they can unhook digby from the caravan and find some mobility then theres a decent player there.
I know you're on a wind up now tyrone. I happen to think Digby has done ok, no more than that, and he must have sumert for England and Man U to have interest in him. But the examples you're using to prove his excellence are ridiculous, definitely on a wind up.
Those of us that are unimpressed with him would still massively want him to succeed - preferably for us, but if not, for Man Utd. But at the same time you can't pretend he's the second coming because on what he's shown for us so far - he isn't. End of.
