Disallowed penalty

    And let's not forget that the keeper can't move forwards until AFTER the ball is kicked so if he dives because he thinks the striker is going to kick it before he does then which one has actually cheated?

    It has always been (in my mind) permitable to stagger a penalty run up as the majority of players do these days. However in these situations they simply slow down the run, not stop and restart. Stopping completely and restarting is not allowed, as seen by the encroachment of practically all players.

    Come on its hardly cheating is it, and its certainly not worthy of a booking.
    Speaking of re-taking pens because of encroaching (is that the right word for it ?), how many players from both sides were in the area when the Birmingham keeper saved Ollie's pen for us last week ?.
