You do this every time someone brings this up, because, well, STFU is your baby and you don't want it criticised. You don't listen to how other people view being told to shut the **** up, you just tell them they're wrong. You don't want to listen because you've decided it's alright and that's the end of it. I'm not even sure the rest of site admin feel the same way as you about it. To me, telling someone to shut the **** up is everything to do with bad attitude and bad behaviour. It causes arguments, like it did last night, not puts a halt to them. Answering a post with a salient point of their own, contradictory to the original, but still being polite, is good attitude and good behaviour, telling someone to shut the **** up certainly isn't. If your friends do it, it's different, it's a joke, but that's not how it's usually used. How it's usually used in on Hemsworth by people who really don't like him and that's not a joke. 740 STFUs he's received and counting. Some joke that is. I'm not saying everyone shares the same opinion on this as me, I know they don't, but some do and you refuse to listen to them or even enter in to a discussion. You simply dismiss their point of view. Maybe more people want the button than don't, in which case it should be kept, but the only reason it's kept at the present time is because you like it.
Mi Dad went t'Well to interview a new foreign signing/loanee when McCord had just come on loan. McCord pretended to be the new foreigner for about 20 mins, false accent and carried it off for the whole interview!!!!! Bit of a character by all accounts was our Bri!
Re: Bloody hell!! Totally agree, old mate. I'm Dodworth's equivalent of the scarecrow in The Wizard Of Oz!
Re: Bloody hell!! Tottally agree. Also a great post by Jay. I've put it on here many times about what you've said. It's anti discussion, it really is.
Re: Bloody hell!! Nail ont head. How you doing today, mate? You're quiet. Bet you're as happy as I am about Reuben, eh? Let's hope he gets a good run now.
He was indeed, 'a bit of a lad'. I liked him and when he was here on loan (He and Mark Smith were brought in on the same day) he was awesome for the whole period. Mel Machin then came in and I don't think he liked him from the outset although ended up buying him, I think in the summer. He hardly got a game and I think he lost his way during that period. Theres no doubt though that he had talent and its a shame everyone only remembers the time when he was **** and forgot about the period where he and Smudge turned our season around.
Re: Bloody hell!! quitet, good win. Not sure about putting RNL stuff in here but whatever. Reuben needs to be told hes a good player, thats it. Believe in him and play him. Personally I think he should be played in an attacking position and lets see what he does. Edge of the area, then there isn't anyone else you would want maybe apart from Jennings, His shots so powerful. That one last night wasn't typical Reuben as such but he's got to have that power just to get it on target and beat the Goalkeeper.
Re: Bloody hell!! He's scored three goals. All different. The unstoppable 25 yard drive against Milwall. The close range overhead kick at Leicester. The technically cute clip last night, bent into the far corner. #Baller
With the greatest of respect, mate, I think the turnaround in our season for 1989/90 was due to one man. Your Dad. He got us playing decent football again and winning matches. Mel Machin took it on from him, but it was your Dad's decision to initially bring in Smith & McCord on loan (in fact, it he who signed Smith on a permanent basis). It was also he who brought Paul Futcher back into the fold, after Clarke had frozen him out.
Didn't he tell the manager that he wasn't bothered about playing first team games, he was happy enough in the reserves as he liked to go fishing or summat on a Setdi. Might not have been fishing, but he definitely didn't want to play football on a weekend. The mentalist.
Re: Bloody hell!! He has. When I found out he was going to start against Milwall I wanted to put a bet on him First Goalscorer, went to bet desk in ESL and and they didn't have any odds for him. By typical goal for him I was talking about his Youth days. The one against Millwall would be typical Reuben for me.
Probably, I was only about 13 or so at the time, but he used to always have a chat with me down the tunnel or at training. He was indeed a raving mentalist, but really great fun. I can't remember what went off between him and Mel, I knew their relationship was frosty at best, so I wouldnt be suprised if Bri had told him that, he really was bonkers enough to do it.
