There's nowt to be said for it once you get out of your early 20s. It's not summat I want to revisit. Anyway, I'm married, it's rare I even do it on the bed.
Sign of being old when you can't even be arsed to shag your own missis anymore let alone anyone else's...
The STFU seems like a bad idea. I pressed it once accidentally and was mortified. Seems nastier to me to do that rather than engage with someone. If you have summat to say just say it if you disagree with someone put your arguments forward logically and I would expect the other person to listen and respond.
Re: Bloody hell!! now, Hemsworth, I don't want to start an argument. But, you are the most anti discussion person on the board. So many times I've tried to 'discuss' things with you and you completely ignore me and many others who try the same and either carry on repeating yourself or start a new thread. I think that's ruder than pressing a silly button. Again I'm not trying to have a pop but just have a think about what a discussion is.
You have done it again lol. True I don't think it should offend anyone. I give my opinion on it, nog just because I put it on but because it's my opinion. No different to you making a post and then backing up your point if someone disagrees You have your facts wrong because I did remove it, it did get silly with HT. it was gone for ages. I did not put it back. To be honest until this thread I didn't even realise it was back on the forum. Just because I don't have a problem with it doesn't mean I'm going to chain myself to Gally's garden gate if he removes it. If members want it taking off I will do. No worries
I don't know if that's the case. I'd like it taking off, but that doesn't mean the majority do. I think you should ask them. The reason I say you dismiss people is that unlike the rest of us, you are in a position of power. You can do something about it and we can't. So when you say: "anyone taking offence to that button shouldn't really be posting their opinions on a forum", that isn't just you giving an opinion and backing it up, it's you as site admin telling us you're not listening to us. I do know what happened when the STFU button was taken down last time because I contacted Gally about it. I told him how many STFUs Hemsworth was receiving and that it was completely unfair. He said he hadn't realised and he'd do something about it. Within the day it was gone. I'm not saying you didn't apply the code to the site that removed the button, because from what you're saying you clearly did. I'm saying that, unlike what you have intimated above, you didn't come to a decision that it was being abused and acted accordingly. There was much more to it than that.
