    I have a mate who I’m sure knows absolutely every flower.

    There’s an app that you can picture the flower and it tells you what it is.

    I was told that the middle pic flowers were deliberately planted on railway banks as they could hold the medium together. They were everywhere when I was a kid but seem a lot less common these days.

    The first half of Hemsworth by pass from the Brierley end to the Ackworth/Upton roundabout follows the route of the old Hull and Barnsley line which stopped running in the late sixties at a guess.
