Wish i was 21 again for the atmosphere, but could do with a bit more variety before i can judge the music.
Amazingly well mate. Brilliant sound system and the 2 floors work well for those that don’t want to hustle of the dance floor
That looks immense! I played in bands to that size crowd, but I think the most I've DJ'd to was about 650 at the Refectory in Leeds. Got offered a gig in Millennium Square in Leeds, but booked someone else to do it...
Love the tunes. I still listen to house/dance when I'm out running (currently working my way through Digweed's Transitions show after discovering it only a few years ago, up to 653 currently), but not sure I could cope with a club these days. I do long for the 90s again though.
Never ever liked that style of music but well done obvs doing summat right to play in front of a decent crowd.
100% not my thing, but glad you're achieving things in that field. The half-time 'act' at the NFL game at White Hart Lane yesterday were the 'Grammy-nominated' Goodboys, who were announced as having had over 5 billion streams of their music. It went down like a lead balloon to that particular crowd. One bloke on the decks, who at least looked like he had a role to play, and another one walking round the pitch miming to lyrics that were very clearly not being sung by him. Utterly pointless, and there was largely bemused silence and a few boos as the reaction when it finished. Thankfully, we only had to endure it for 7 minutes. I'll switch off 'grumpy old fart mode' again now.
Thats nothing like what I do. They aren't DJs. Basically pretending to do it, it's pathetic. There's loads like that, some of which are being paid millions to pretend to DJ and wouldn't know an EQ from a Leg of lamb.
Another weekly show I'm listening to on MixCloud. Friend of a friend. Graham B Groove Soulful House Sessions. As it says on the tin, house music with a soulful flavour. 2hrs a week, back catalogue of about 50 shows now. Tis nang bruh.
