RE: Well it depends.... Well ill be honest aswell, the team does sound a little girlified!!! OOOHH Dont tackle me, i might break a nail!! Does No-one accept a good legal challenge?? I kno most referees nowadays dont!! Just my opinion!!!! Any body know of any sunday league teams wanting a tough tackling Defender??!!!
RE: Well it depends.... We have plenty of tough tackling players, I love players to get stuck in. But these players can do it without endangering other players' careers, unlike Matthew. Numerous people have told me the same about him, it's not just my opinion. People who went to school with him as well. Plus, there are other issues as well which I shan't post. Recommend him to someone else if you're so bothered.
RE: Well it depends.... I was actually asking for myself, about a team wanting a tough tackling defender!! Ive not got a team this year as the team i played for went under! Im not bothered bout him, dont even know him. Just didnt kno why people didnt like his tackling, I based myself on Chris Morgan!! Do Or DIE!!!

RE: Well it depends.... Well we don't play every week by a long chalk, but if you can play Saturdays at 10.30 (when we're at home) you're more than welcome to come along... supta thee like.
Seriously though...... ....do you have any specific areas/positions where you need some strengthening (insert gags about No.s 1-11 here), as once upon a time I used to play for the Intermediates (abot 1990ish) and as I've kept reasonably fit over the years playing five/six a side, I reckon I could manage another crack at 90 minutes.
Well hang on.... Wasnt there "new" players included in this weeks squad??? and hasnt he actually said before that he doesnt wanna take anyones place?? Just dont think this kid should be singled out cos of the way he was portrayed by some ex schoolfriend or by the events of when he trained 2 years ago. And to clarify... I saw the challenge, and altho it was strong(considering we were training), it wasnt high,it wasnt career ending, hard but fair were the words i would use. I also KNOW that there are people playing for the team that know Mr Cooper is a liability to the team, but to be fair, he organises it all which saves the rest of us a job! I think it's safer to leave this issue where it is, and not go into it. We dont want a Shopboy Vs Journo Friday night Feight again do we! It looks like he's not following it up, has taken it like a man, said he's stil going to come and support us and has accepted his (unfair)labelling, so lets move on shall we.
Midfielder who can win tackles & headers squads not too bad though but I think we could do with some midfield options.
RE: Well hang on.... Aye, well we have one or two players who are so far up their own arse it's untrue and will only pass the bloody ball to players they consider 'worthy', even when other players are in acres of space. They then end up giving the ball away and moaning at other people for not getting in space. We also have one or two players, who instead of trying to encourage team mates, just whinge and moan for 90 minutes whenever a pass goes astray or a mistake is made. For fecks sake we're supposed to be a team, and some people don't treat it as one. We play for a bit of fun, and whilst of course I don't like losing, some people take it a little TOO seriously. I am well aware that I am not the most skilful player around, quite the opposite, but when given the chance can cross a ball and pass a ball very well quite frankly. However, despite constantly finding acres ofn space on the wing last night I was given the ball about twice, so what the f*ck can I do with that? We conceded 6 goals, of which I was at fault for none, and at least 4 of them could have been prevented by our 'esteemed defence'. I think of all the goals we've ever conceded I maybe could have done better with two or three, but that's less than most folk who apparently think I'm s*it. Well I agree that I'm pretty rubbish at football, but so are the majority of the rest of the team, lets be honest. HOWEVER, we play to enjoy ourselves, and MOST of us do. Some players though are quite happy to see people who turn up every game sit on the bench for 70 minutes in order for the 'good' players (some of whom just turn up when they've nothing better to do) to play most of the game at their expense. Those 'good' players then often fail to perform despite thinking they're the bees knees. Some people need to sort out their attitude. And yes, I've a pretty good idea who posted that, hence my response. Note: My ire is only aimed at a very small number of people, most of the lads are cracking blokes who I enjoy playing football and socialising with, but there are one of two players who quite frankly I wish would **** off - other people have said the same...
RE: Allen, were you unhappy with the game on Friday? Not as a whole no mate, thought we played pretty well. Just beaten by a better side, which I can accept.
RE: Allen, were you unhappy with the game on Friday? Not low mate, just one or two players who should go and join that Worksop Blades team from the tournament in Sheffield with their attitude and constant whinging. I think you know who I mean, other folk do as I've discussed it with them.
RE: Worksop Blades. Thay were great, weren't they? Oh aye, the fecking t0ssers, they can rot in hell as far as I'm concerned.
Cheer Up Matey Just enjoy the games. Thats what I've learned to do with playing football, I try not to let things bother me and try not to criticise and ended up quite pleased with how I played on Friday. Its just a matter of ignoring any criticism that comes your way.
