Do managers make any difference?

    did you read the bit about only a tenth of managers made a difference? Listing the top 10 doesn't invalidate the point, at least not in my world. Maybe the lack of oxygen in the East Stand Upper has effected your brain?

    I think its more a reflection of the money which is wasted on many, many transfers overall. The best players will undoubtedly cost big transfers - the problem is the money wasted on crap players in the transfer market. There are ways, of course, to pick up brilliant players cheaply - the key then is to pay them enough to stay!
