Work looks to have started up again. It looks as though the drains are going in at the moment. Anyone know the new anticipated completion date?

Would have been ideal to carry on straight after enabling works, when there was less traffic due to lockdown. Be mayhem there once it really starts. Baurgh green mini roadabout is another bizarre piece of bad planning, wouldn't it been simpler to have the entrance from new estate coming through trading estate

I don’t think they could appoint a contractor until all the legal issues were resolved.

Hasn’t that Barugh Green roundabout been planned for ages. Didn’t they demolish a house to clear the land for it? I actually think they’ve made it better there. I suppose time will tell when all the houses are built. The idea is to send all Mapplewell bound traffic through the new estate.

Literally millions of pounds over budget, conservation suddenly not important, constituents opinions dismissed,
when it suits their purpose, classic Barnsley Council Planning department, no governance, completely out of control, one day they'll be taken to task, hopefully soon.
