Does anyone else sometimes feel they've more in common with Scotland fans than many of England's?

No, they view everyone in England as the same. We have more in common with the mining communities of Wales - always found them to be more friendly tbh.

About a quarter of my nursery and junior school were scots kids, children of the miners brought to Hemsworth.

Never ever a problem, never even thought about it. That goes for them still supporting Scotland and their parents being very hard to understand when they spoke.

Doesn’t happen at most other games not involving England. Coincidence? The scenes in London before the last Euro final were appalling. Can’t even behave in their own country. Still, I’m sure you’ll have an excuse for it.

No that behaviour was disgusting and I was directly impacted by it were you. I won’t defend the indefensible but I won’t accept the rubbish that is being spouted on here.

Not for a long time admittedly. Did a few England games in my youth. Never took to it and saw some appallingly bad behaviour. Every team has a minority of ***** of course. But England take the prize by some distance.

Not one bit! And to be honest, you don’t believe that yourself.

Also, people need to stop generalising English. 99.9% of us out here are having a great time and a credit to our country. Come try it, I promise you’ll love it.

The danish have been incredible to share a beer with today, just like the Serbs were, and surprisingly, the Albanians. So far this has been an incredible tournament.

Thanks but, honestly, I think I know what I 'believe myself'.

My point is actually the opposite of generalising English fans. We're a diverse bunch and folk from Plymouth, Swindon, Maidstone, Bromsgrove etc etc are to me more culturally different to us Yorkshire folk than most Scots.

I live in Doncaster and it's still in Scotland so yes is the answer.

These generalisations about England fans are always written by the divs that never actually go and get all their opinions straight from the BBC; who today are running a long article about 'tragedy chanting' because they've failed in their desperate search to find even one bit of footage of a patio chair being kicked over.

Those of us who actually go to England games see it for what it is; hugely welcoming and friendly trips to different places and significantly less chance of ugly scenes than when you travel with Barnsley to their bigger games.
