Re: depends on who signs contracts and what newbies we bring in If we're compeating at the right end of the table, top 10 etc. for full season I can see it happening the season after. Would love to see Oakwell more full.
Re: depends on who signs contracts and what newbies we bring in i don't think so, numbers have been dropping for a few years now, the economic situation isn't going to get any better in Barnsley for some time. I know it was a great escape but people tend to buy new season tickets when they think theres a chance of a play-off spot , miraculous 4th from bottom spots don't quite do it .
Hoping the club are going to be more proactive with this season ticket campaign. They should make people want to go. Not just 'beat the bookies'.
Solution - Sign a couple of Polish Internationals this summer. Outcome - Oakwell will be packed every Saturday afternoon, Poundstretcher and 99p Store will be deserted.
To be fair its a huge market to be tapped into. Don't know if we could get a Polish international though, not a bad team are they?
Nivver, folk haven't got the spare money at the moment. We've only passed the 10,000 season ticket mark once since we got back to this level and that was helped by the kids free ticket. We haven't got the marketing know how for a season ticket campaign so expect the same as last season.
Cheeky bid for Lewandowski? Our ticket prices are more expensive so we should be able to out bid Bayern Munich, right?
