Seriously how bad must that Tedic be if he can’t get on the bench at the minute when we can’t buy a goal .

We grumbled about a British manager who knew this league and we've got one. I have faith in Duff but the squad has some serious weaknesses in it especially up front. When the headcoach/manager cannot select the players he wants to bring in but has them selected for him then it is gonna lead to problems. Don't normally single out players but for me Cole, Cadden, Cundy, Edwards and Martin are just not good enough at this level. Tonight, we never looked like scoring to be fair and the weaknesses we all knew about has come back to haunt us.

He looks a good player to me. I understand he has some back problems and maybe that's the thing. If it isn't, then WTF, because he can play football.

Cundy is so bad I would rather we played McCarthy even with his ACL.

At 22yrs old if Tedic isn’t ready to play at Div one level now then he’ll never be ready it’s yet another baffling signing by the club.

Can’t blame the strikers - on tonight’s showing Haaland would struggle to score with that service.

Mr Duff sold us a kipper.

He told us that his team would attack with pace and intensity.

He told us that his team would play without fear.

He told us that his players would leave the field with sweat on their shirt.

    Blah blah blah..

Today no one stepped up to the plate. They let the manager down again. Why from him the long balls? De

To answer the op, not on tonight's showing. We started brightly, using both wings and whipping low crosses into the box. Then we started playing hoof ball through the middle. In the second half there were numerous times players got in each others way which to me smacks of lack of formation and a distinct playing style. Still not sure whether it's down to the manager not having/getting across a plan or players who lack the skill/fitness/desire to implement it. However, on tonight's showing it's a combination of all of the above.

For me the squad's very unbalanced as in all positions the players are very samey and there's a lack of pace all over the pitch. To be fair to Duff you have to look what he had sat behind him last night phillips connell similar players to Kane and Benson, Larkeche was given a chance at Bolton didn't look any better than Cadden. Upfront you have Atchinson does he offer anything different to the three that are already on then there's Jalo he's 16yrs old and probably offers something different but he's 16 and we have to be careful we don't ruin him.

I'd argue that putting him on in the 88th minute when you are creating absolutely zero just so that he can be booked off a couple of minutes later does him far more harm

they are as culpable as the rest as far as I’m concerned, there were enough balls into the box where a bit of anticipation could have resulted in a goal.
Then in the last minute they get a good ball in and they run into one another!
I know this applies to other players as well but when you go game after game with barely a shot on target that’s worrying.
Personally I feel sorry for Duff he must have the most unbalanced, pedestrian squad we have had for a good while.

That last minute collision would have been funny if it hadn't been so tragic, but through the game I still saw plenty of possession out wide and no quality coming into the box either along the ground or in the air.

I'd have Aitchison starting regularly, he's done nothing wrong to merit being left out. He'll never be a prolific scorer but he's an intelligent player who finds space and always puts a shift in.
I know who I'd pick between him or Martin......
