RE: Incorrect
where your £6 will get you around 2 pints, worth it eh? just don't get that attitude, good job PC can be arsed innit. (doh)
2 pints for £25...??? Good job PCs doing the sums and not you
Its your choice. But just remember when you're shouting at the telly to encourage the team.... They can't hear you.
RE: Incorrect Thought it was £23 per home game. However, its £4 FFS. Not going to the Man U match to save £4?? Lets hope if we ever get to Wembley again, people feel the same, because with not buying a ticket at Wembley prices they will save a fortune This means there will no scramble for tickets.
Thank God Patrick Cryne has deep pockets and a generous nature to subsidise us in the way he does.(Y) (Y)

When you have a family to support Its nice and easy living at home with your parents and having everything provided but for someone with a family to support logic and priorities sometimes have to come into life James
RE: Incorrect Its £45 in 3 days to watch football as I dont have a season ticket, for this reason I choose to watch Man U reserves tomorrow at home for free. But carry on having a pop at my dedication or whatever if it makes you feel better.
Yeah but buying beers and going out at the weekend instead Was the point made in this thread, not the family stuff.
It does you're right perhaps they suggested £15 and we said no, £25 and not a penny less. Customer charter 4.11 would have cleared this up but the charter was ignored
Yes and it's his choice to do that. He's already got sky so to watch it at home will cost him nothing allowing him to enjoy a night at the pub at the weekend. If he spent £25 to watch us tomorrow he'd not be able to go out on saturday. Lets just agree that everyone has reasons for choosing not to go to EVERY game of football and that includes you unless you never ever miss a barnsley match then really you can't complain if someone else chooses not to attend one game.
But the family stuff is relevant in that a couple with two kids will have to shell out £80. I'm not blaming the club for that it's just that if someone in that positionhas access to sky I can't say I'd blame them.
Also I think the lure of Man Utd has been overestimated in that it's reasonable to assume that a significant number of their team will not be household names.
Me and my wife are going because the credit card will stand it, but the cost of away matches is one of the main reasons I don't travel anymore.

Well said Supertyke I cant believe the pack mentality on here at times. I choose to save the £25 tommorrow and go out on Saturday night instead. I also get to see the Man Utd game. Its not just me where are all the fans who went to Wembley if the grounds not full tomorrow ..? And yes Journo I have a family and a mortgage, do you...?
you might assume that but in all honesty you have no idea. I heard for example that manchester united gave wolves the option for what the ticket prices were in the last round. It is quite plausable that manchester united don't exactly see £50k as a big deal (the difference between £25 a ticket and £20 a ticket). Actually forget that, how much will barnsley's costs be for the game? whatever it is take that out of their £50k and in the grand scheme of things it isn't a lot of money to them. Like I said, section 4.11 of the customer charter covers this and would have given supporters and customers a simple explanation but a decision was made to not comply with the charter on this issue
The Customer Charter was Ignored? Dont they stick to their own policies? Sorry I meant dont they usually stick to their own policies.
RE: That's absolutely fine where did I complain about the price...? And do you have a family and a mortgage...???
The point I'm making is I can't understand why people are moaning at the price. Whether a certain person wants to go or not I'm not bothered - I sometimes decide not to go to away games for the same reason. If someone can't afford to go at £25 but could at £15 because the extra tenner means food is on the table, I can see their point. But if the money would be spent on going to the pub to watch it, going on a night out or whatever, then it's a personal choice of how to spend 'leisure' money and I can't understand people moaning at the price for these reasons.
That's completely irrelevant I'm buying a house, learning to drive and buying a car all very shortly... if I decide not to go a match due to that that's my own choice but I won't be moaning at the price like MANY people on here are.
