I got my own seat for the Chelsea game and brilliant seats at Wembley I had to queue for a long time for Wembley tickets but such is life.
I'm confused. Is this the "the prices are a scandal thread" or the "every move Barnsley makes is **** thread"?
RE: I'm confused. You simply want to be judged by your actions In preferring not to go to the match I understand you by your actions Simples
I haven't patronised anyone I just can't see why people are complaining at the price. Where have I said anyone's not a 'real' fan? People can go to all the games or none of the games, I'm not fussed or going to judge anyone.
RE: I'll be watching in t'boozer not a real fan, good job PC can be arsed, its only £25, dont get your attitude, judged by your actions etc etc....
According to the O.S it could well sell out today. All areas sold, limited number in West Upper only.
This customer charter stuff. I've had a season ticket since I was about eight, and I've never given a **** to read this customer charter. I'm happy to pay a couple of quid extra, despite the fact it goes against the 'customer charter'. The price has been agreed between the two clubs, and it'll more than likely be a good game, so what's the fuss about? How many people had actually read the customer charter, before SuperMoan had a rant about it?
So if we have a few hundred seats left I think the club have got the pricing right Everyone who wanted to go was able to get a seat Those that prefered to save money - or couldnt afford it will be watching on sky No huge queues at the box office I cant say I was impressed at the way the charter was ignored and changed without explanation but thats my only complaint. The more important issue of getting pricing right and ensuring fans can see the game looks fine to me
Lucky you I got my own seat for the Chelsea game - that wasnt too hard as it would take a monumental effort from the club to **** that one up Got seats at Wembley so high I needed oxygen despite wanting the top price seats they had all sold out - until the day after I got mine when they were miraculously on sale again. I dont know how much blame is on the club for that though
I'm guessing those that first raised it on here and highlighted the breach to everyone more than likely read it at some point.
RE: Lucky you We went for the second price bracket and although I had to take the day off work and queue up and all the rest it was still worth it to get the seats we wanted. I had paid £40 to sit at the back of the top tier the year before so I would have queued for any amount of time to avoid that scenario. Can't comment on the top price tickets but I can appreciate how pissed off you would be sat up there when you wanted the best seats.
RE: So if we have a few hundred seats left I think the club have got the pricing right I don't think it does, as you can't look at this in isolation. They may have almost sold out for this game, but what has been the knock on effect? How has this affected (or will affect) the attendances for the other popular games before and after this game. Also from a PR point of view, a significant number of supporters who would have loved to be there tonight have been unable to justify the cost. Many fans have had to make frustrating choices (myself included)as to which game(s) they can go to. BFC have filled the ground but have catered more for the occasional fan rather than their core support, who want to get to as many games as possible. The lucky ones who don't understand disposable income restraints can't understand the argument, which is even more frustrating.
