Let me say i'm not in favour of a centre ground love-in. I want it all to be looked at, debated, argued about - the whole lot. Sometimes the correct answer is way left or right. I don't want to prejudge anything. There are quite a few on here - more left than right, but that's understandable - who won't listen to the other side. That's their loss. Anyway, sorry to say this, but I'm enjoying this "lockdown", but then again i haven't seen the firm bank balance recently.
No trolls on here. I honestly believe people on here say what they genuinely believe. It maybe that the view taken is perceived as untrue or even bizarre by other posters - but that view MUST be respected.
Over the years, you’ve not passed an opportunity to accuse posters of being hard of thinking, and even ‘thick fookers’ but to post what you did in this thread when people have been affected by lockdown in a variety of ways, including having lost loved ones or people they know, and not seeing loved ones for weeks, you have way surpassed all that, People on here often call you a WUM, I believe you’re not, more akin to an attention- seeking individual who’ll stop at nothing. So glad I don’t know you
12 pages on a bloke driving to Durham. Can we at least start up next week playing behind closed doors? Come on EFL they've all been tested.
The Guardian are now reporting that at least two people saw him walking around 30 miles from Durham. He will have resigned by Monday night, I bet.
Is there any evidence that either of them actually had it? Or was this just a trip up to his mum's for her birthday.
I agree to an extent. I am certainly not going to be clamouring for him to be sacked because I hate seeing people sacked after being tried in the court of public opinion but I think he has to resign, not because what he did was any worse than members of the general public but because of the senior position he holds in government. The government guidance can't be contravened by it's senior adviser without consequences. Just my opinion but he should resign and I'm certainly no leftie. I said exactly the same about the Scottish scientist and our government scientist who broke the guidelines so if I took a different position for Cummings then I'd be a hypocrite, which I'm not. It's not about politics for me, its about right and wrong and not tolerating hypocrisy.
There’s going to be some very embarrassed cabinet ministers right now after being told to publicly support him earlier. https://www.theguardian.com/politic...mingss-lockdown-claims?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other
I'm just hoping that the only reason Durham police haven't come out and stated exactly, who, when and showed the video evidence of them speaking to him or his family is that they are keeping their powder dry for his arrest and pending legal case. One can dream.
Grant Schapps / Michael Greene needs a medal and a haircut for keeping a straight face today. ******* Dennis Norden would be impressed by the past 24 hours.
So someone in the press has sat on this news all day and waited until multiple Tory MPs have come out and backed him. Bravo.
