I’ve read the government statement - and in my opinion he didn’t do anything wrong.
Both him and his wife were poorly and he needed someone to look after his kid.
So being a father he did the right thing.

This story is being wiped up by the loony left - because they are frightened of Cummings and the new young conservative thinkers.

 

Not well enough to look after his child but well enough to drive 250 miles? Can you explain that one for me?

Can you also explain why his wife wrote a blog post where she was talking about her looking after their child while Dom was ill? I’m sure the fact that it was (supposedly) his Mum’s birthday that day had nothing to do with it eh?

Seriously as a single parent I coped with being sick on my own I'm sure the pair of them could have managed without breaking the guidance.

His wife posted that the day after she showed symptoms he collapsed from them. Did he really drive 250 miles with a four year old in the back after collapsing? She also posted that she spent the whole time looking after the child. As the kid stayed with them why did they need to drive all that way (when they could have crashed/broken down/needed toilet stops) just for his sister to do what Prime Now could have done?

 

A 13 year old lad died frightened, alone and then buried without his entire family being present. That's the reality of Covid in our society.

Not for those in power though.

So why did the health adviser in Scotland and the member of sage for commiting far less dangerous breaches of Lockdown. Cummings and his wife while infected drove from the epi centre of the virus in this country at the time to an area which at that time had few cases he shouldn't just be sacked he should be prosecuted like you or I would in the same circumstances and many other people have. His action of taking his possibly infected child and leaving it with his elderly parents was highly dangerous and irresponsible.

Apologies for repeating all this, but surely this is a clear case. At the time the advice was

• If you have symptoms self isolate
  • Cummings and his wife had symptoms so should have isolated
• Do not visit elderly relatives
  • They clearly did on the pretence of childcare
• No non-essential journeys and stay local
  • This was non-essential, because in the biggest city in the country surely they could have sorted childcare without travelling 250 miles

How straightforward is this....... he broke all the rules that were in place to "save lives" that was probably his own marketing line

The Scottish health advisor broke the rules and resigned (eventually). Prof Ferguson did the same and resigned. How is this case any different?

If Cummings does not have the morals and ethics to resign then Boris should show leadership and sack him

 

If Cummings doesn't get sacked then all I can say is that it just opens the door to people saying fck it & do the same. I hope that doesn't happen but the PM must act and act now.

 

And this post is where you and many other haters lose all integrity and moral high ground.

 

Any journo with half a brain will be contacting all the service stations on M1 and A1 between London and Durham to see in their is any CCTV of Cumming or his Mrs using them. Then the story becomes more interesting one thing to travel from London to Durham none stop and only put his family at risk, as stupid as that is to put unknowing innocent members of the public at risk is totally on a different scale of arrogant stupidity.
