Don’t like this Radio Sheffield coverage today

I think Rory was the obvious choice for co-commentary with his history with both clubs but he just wasn’t very good was he?

 

He works for Swansea?

 

He's the youth team coach or something - the main commentator said so.

Basically, Radio DeeDar got desperate, had no expert summariser or whatever they're called, and had to go for Fallon. I assume there are difficulties getting in and out of Wales at the moment, so their selection a) had to live there, b) had to have some connection with Barnsley and c) had to be available. It'll have been a pretty shallow pool.

You can see what is happening on the pitch. Blind or partially sighted people and those who have audio only can’t see what’s on the pitch and are likely the loyal iFollow/Barnsley Player long term customers. I understand that the majority of people probably do have video as well now but those with audio who bought the service first are now being sidelined. This is in no way a criticism of Matt, he is only doing as he has been told and I’m a big fan of his after listening to his commentary for over 20 years.

 

It wasn’t on audio, we got to hear ‘nothing much happening here’ on repeat. I kept thinking ‘well, it’s a bloody good job you went there then isn’t it?’

 

BTW, on the other Radio Sheffield thread I was wrong in what I said when I was sticking up for some commentary. I listened back to Frieser's winner from the Wednesday match and had I not been watching, I wouldn't have known we'd scored.
