Simon Cox - the best available I think we have to give Hume at least a season of cameo performances to begin to get his confidence back - don't think we can presume he will be straight back in and firing on all cyclinders. Take the point about goalscoring midfielders and Hoolahan from Norwich is a creative star - you can actually trace Norwich's drop in form to his injury against Burnley (I think). Strange that Roeder wouldn't play either Hoolahan, or Cureton. Hoolahan was rumoured to be coming to us until Gunn took over and put him back in the team. Andy Gray from Charlton would be a good acquisition, if available on a free and if we want experienced cover in the goalscoring area. With the team next season, we don't have an obvious big target man, although Macken plays that role well enough when on form and when the ball is played mainly on the deck. Others worth a look would be McGoldrick at Southampton. Avoid like the plague any prima-donnas from the premiership, with the exception of Kevin Phillips! I for one am sorry to see Dennis Sousa not offered another contract, as he has been a good player over two seasons and I don't think we will easily replace him with similar quality. I agree that the Foster-Moore pairing is our strongest ot the moment and, presumably, Dennis doesn't like the idea of not being guaranteed a reasonable number of starts. Hoolahan would be a big improvement on Diego Leon and would be likely both to make and to score goals in the Brian Howard role in which he played most recently with Norwich,
