I know a lot of things on this forum are tongue in cheek but I can't decided if that is.

Sorry for having an opinion. Sorry for sharing my opinion. Sorry I won't be jumping from any cliffs.

Oh, and sorry for misunderstanding you if that wasn't intended to come across as it did...

well firstly I must ask why are you not in bed at this hour .. child... have your mummy and Daddy no responsibilities.
But go and contact the OP .. strap yourself to him and jump off Junction 37 at rush hour... you will be both doing humanity a huge favour.

I think Blackpool and Donny, although less so, can be pulled into this but we must keep picking up the points. Beating Yeovil would be a big psychological boost for the team.

I'm not going to respond to that. I wouldn't in person, so I'm not going to on a forum.

The most important thing about tonight is that we've shown that we can get a fantastic result like that and show some fight when all looked lost, rather than to look at other teams' performance. So it doesn't piss on mine

Charlton have to play both ourselves and Yeovil..so there's plenty up for grabs if we can step up

Well done mate. To be honest, I don't really like your opening post, but so what, everyone has a right to see things how they like and there was no need what-so-ever for the insults you've just received. Best way to deal with it is exactly the way you just have. I hope I can be as restrained as you if I ever get the same.

You did the right thing. He had a go at me on Saturday, calling me names and just generally acting like a bell. I told him that as an ex soldier myself (he is ex forces I think) I thought he was embarrassing. Tonights little outburst just reinforces my opinion.

It is embarrassing! It's worrying too. I don't really post much, so I could be anyone. You could say it's farfetched, but I could be mentally unstable. Luckily I'm not (although I might be by the end of the season) and know people often go a step too far online, but you can't be saying things like that!

    Re: perhaps

Up until tonight, he was the first and only poster I'd reported to admin. It was a week or so ago. For weeks, he'd resorted to calling me all manner of names, and at random. After seeing others banned for similar or less, I reported him.

I've done the same with another tonight.

There's just no need for what appear to be vicious words in response to football posts. No need at all.

    Re: perhaps

    There int. You're right.

On another point, don't take the criticism of your video to heart. Most people just told you it wasn't for them, or said they didn't see a problem, they didn't really have a go at you, and anyway, it doesn't make any of us right. Humour is very subjective. I doubt if you're bothered about the one person who really did give you grief. Jamdrop may have clicked the stfu button, but many have argued in the past that's not what it really means. Personally, I don't like the button at all because it can lead to situations like you two got yourself in. I wish it would be removed. Like and dislike are perfectly adequate and don't get people's backs up. Actually, I'd even get rid of the dislike button. If you don't like someone's post, tell them why so at least they can defend it or know why it caused offence.

I'd definitely prefer a sherbet lemon to a stfu.

    Re: perhaps

If you can't tell I was taking the piss with my usage of the STFU button then I really give up. I was being juvenile. As in, I received a couple so threw a couple out there in response. As I say, juvenile. But if you can't distinguish between the use of that feature, and someone randomly calling other posters a "lovely person", "twát", or wanting them to end their life, then I think my and your conversations are better off being limited in the future.

    Re: perhaps

It's my own fault for not expecting the 'other' kind of reaction. I'd already posted it on twitter and facebook and there wasn't a bad remark to be seen. Folk saw it as I wanted them to. As a light hearted, short video to lift the spirits. The bit with Danny looking ion aghast, and then Flicker's face as though he knew all along....
But then, there was a human involved, admittedly. A footballer at that. I ought to know better considering my relationship etc. So I've no real issue with either response. I thanked you for yours in particular as it was measured and I could understand the opposite view. I'm a bit of a foot in mouth bloke at times. I think second at times. Ask r lass. It's summat I do my best to improve on. But aye, I'm still 31 and learning. No problem with JD's argument. She made the same points that you did. But after using the STFU button which I find a tad juvenile. Much rather receive a reply than that. So I gave a few STFU's out myself. Like the juvenile I can be.
My only real problem was with judith charmers. His post wasn't on. It was similar in fact, to the post you received tonight on your Danny/Flicker comparison thread. Abusive. Which is the same sort of thing Dragon has been banned for.

I call folk cnuts etc on here quite often. But only the folk I either know in reality, or the folk I've built a rapport with, and can trust to take it as intended. As I do in return. But when a random poster fires random abuse at you, or anyone for that matter, I find it poor form.

I don't regret my Big John video though. Look at his display tonight. Matt reckons he was a rock. So I've got my Frimpong and Woods videos in the pipeline..
