I think the drop in leagues has helped him and working with duff massively last season his commitment was questionable.
Gonna be a tough one. If no one comes in for him, it’s difficult to see how he stays in the international set up. We don’t see him in training and I’m sure Duff wouldn’t be picking him if the graft wasn’t there. However to me he looks to have pretty much picked up where he left off. Last season he looked like a poor Championship player, with 1 good season under his belt. Right now he’s looking like an average L1 player, with 1 good season under his belt. He’s going backwards.
But in December 2015 we had Mawson and Roberts as centre backs (though Helik and Andersen will do too!), Hourihane in midfield, Hammill on the wing to terrorise full-backs, Winnall up front to bang in the goals. It was ridiculous that that side was in such a position. The recovery began with Hanmill's return to the club in November.
Benson started first haif a dozen games in championship playing okayish then he seemed to lose it and finished up being very poor, not on his own like. There was summat there but neither manager could get it out of him, the dropping a league may be the catalyst to getting the best out of him. Here`s hoping.
