Going to be an interesting season I really didn’t expect us to be looking at free transfers from non league to be the ones trying to strengthen the squad, but with the recent news it all makes sense now. Get as much money in and spend as little as possible to deal with whatever is going to happen.

There’s not a lot of new information in that article apart from Watters/Slob potentially coming back, the rest is based on leaks we already know about, which for me means there are plenty of bids going on we and the media aren’t aware off.

Like others I’m not worried about the non league signings, plenty of gems hidden down there and half of them aren’t intended for the main squad this season, they are low value risks worth taking.

The bulk of loan deals always seem to happen at the very end of the widow which is always frustrating, but that’s how it works, we’ll start the season light on numbers like we always do but I’m confident we’ll do well with loans by the time the window closes.

When Watters came to us last season initially I wasn"t impressed but I am always willing to give players time before I judge & to be honest he gradually won me over & I would not be against bringing him back especially now he has a feel for the club & the fans which would eliminate the bedding in period .

I personally think Debrah & Lopata have good pedigree and shown spirit to drop down the league's to get first team men's football in order to move up the ladder again.
    Good on em.
I hope they get their chance with us and prove themselves.

Cal Jennngs from the Rowdies would definitely be worth bringing in on loan & see if he can hack the English league. Got hat trick I’m NC’s last game. Can’t see that being til January though, Tampa are mid season.. :)

Can’t navigate the Chron site at all. Pointless them having one. Just log out without noticing the ads.

What do you mean by that?
Are not the U23's integral with first team now?

The announcement of his signing from our website said he was to link up with the u23s side.

They are two separate teams. He won't be used in the first team, he'll be like the keeper we got last summer who is now at Worksop, used purely as a youth team player.

Sorry for the pedantry but we don't have U23s, it's U21s.

Saw something somewhere about a Luton keeper.
Surely they have a spare keeper, we do them enough ‘favours’ .

So, we're signing Deborah and Dallas. There's some seventies porn based joke in there somewhere, just can't put my finger on it. Come on Stephen Dawson

Maybe Collins isn't actually leaving; it's just that everyone has stopped talking to him. ;)

It would be the headline if they clash during training and Dallas comes off worst… or so I’ve been told..

I thought we should have sent Teddy back to Man City in the January 'window', especially as he was injured at the time.
Out of both of them, I think Watters showed the better improvement as the season went on.

In my opinion we need two better strikers than either Watters or slob.
