    I know folk are going on about watters signing but I would be more excited about Dallas signing I know he comes from non league and he’s moving to a higher standard but this could be an inspired signing he looks quick and a good finisher could be a the signing of the summer,another vardy!

    Would certainly help bolster our options.

    I think I’d still like a centre back to come in. I liked the look of Lopata and James against Dull the other day but it would be a big step up for either of them to come in and play 40+ games.

    I’d quite like a number 10 who can dribble with the ball too. Just for something different off the bench.

    If we get all that I’d be confident of at least play offs.

    Need 2 CBs in my opinion.

    A proper experienced Mads replacement. We know we can't get someone as good but need someone who can step in and lead that defence.

    Then a loan option like we did with Edwards/Thomas last season.

    McCarthy doesn't seem like he will be fit for a while so we need cover.

    Possibly so. I have a sneaky feeling Lopata will be another gem that we find and will end up playing a fair bit this season. But that would still leave another spot in the back 3. Hopefully this overseas one that’s been mentioned will be able to slot straight in. Cundy then as backup and I’m also not sure on McCarthy’s fitness levels. I’m pretty sure he was in some training pictures I saw the other day but I suppose with him not getting many minutes in this pre-season, that sort of says he’s still a bit away.

    Think James will be a really good find for the future. This season might be a bit too soon for him though. Looking forward to seeing more of him.

    Even considering Lopata as an option we still need 2 CBs signed.

    We play a back 3 and last season we only had Cundy as back up for a long time. We need more cover than that for sure.

    James sounds a good prospect but definitely too soon to be relying on him regularly at the top end of L1.

    He also started today in a defence that shipped 4 to a Blackburn reserve team. Fairly clear we can't rely on that defence week in week out if we are hoping to replicate last season.
