Wasn't being sarcastic. Just pointing out that if the BBS is controlled by political appointees from the right - as you posted - we're in trouble.

Well I know we have Loko on the BBS admin team but he wasn’t a political appointment and I’m certainly not a Right Wing supporter

Head of Met got where she is by playing politics, the Tories own her.
Remember the poor Brazilian lad, she gave the order to turn his head into a callander. The lad was no terrorist, just had tanned skinned and thought immigration were chasing him. He'd overstayed his visa.
They own her for her mistake and made sure she rose to the top. The Met are the Tories insurance policy.

Very good point. Strange how Johnson is apologising for his staff laughing about a party that he had in his gaff. What is worse, hosting the party after telling the country you get no more than one day with your family at Christmas, or being a member of staff and laughing about the situation? For all we know she may have been laughing at him, maybe when she joked she didn't know the answer because nobody can predict what he'll say next? But she is a woman in the Tory boys club, so she has been made a scapegoat and half the country reels in faux-horror at her cackle. This is the issue with today's cancel culture-driven, faux-shocked society. Her joking was distasteful, but the guy at the top - Bojo - is the one with actual blood on his hands. People will soon find someone else to he shocked about - 'Boris' will get a pass for being Boris - and noone will care that the aide lost her job. Imagine if she takes her life after this? It's all upside down. Bojo and his merry men seriously need to go, but they won't, and the nation will continue to bow at the feet of the rule makers aka the chief rule breakers.

We are stuck with Bojo the clown and is troop if fools until the next election and probably longer. The only way he'll go is if the Tory MPs get nervous about their seat in parliament and then they'll send the men in grey suits from the 1922 committee to tell Boris to do one then install the next Tory ******* as PM. They will never vote him down in a no confidence vote in parliament because that would give Starmer a victory. Starmer just needs to do what Blair did to Major and make Bojo look a lying fuckwit until the next GE and then come up with some policies that will attract some sensible middle ground voters who voted Tory last time to vote Labour then hope that some who usually vote Labour but voted tory last time have learnt to regret what they did and return to the labour fold, sadly however I think the country and by that I mean the English part of the UK has drifted far too much to the right for Labour to get in anytime soon.

    I don't understand.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-59588413

Police won't investigate due to "absence of evidence"? Have they even looked?

Downing Street is probably the most watched place in the country, everyone needs to sign in and out, CCTV everywhere, surely there is a boatload of evidence they can sift through? If they can be arsed, that is...

    Stinks.

Have they even tried to interview Mrs Stratton? After yesterday's performance after getting caught I'd have thought her and those caught on camera would need speaking to.
No doubt the close protection lot were at the party, and sampled some of buffet. Met officer's seem fond of taking personsl photos from crime scenes, wonder if they have any selfies?

Cheese and crackers by the sound of it and plenty of wine. A pretty disappointing buffet.

Nothing to do with cancel-culture, who was cancelling who? Ok she's been cancelled by the boys in charge, well her career has anyway.

As I said, their own officers were on duty at the time of these parties, they are scared that if put on the spot, those officers will say they acted on orders from above. Orders that ultimately came from Chief Police Officer Cresida Dick.....

It does stink, and the bloke who has been put in charge of investigating this party by the clown of a prime minister is alleged to have been there at the party himself. If true what next.

Is "Downing Street" the new soap opera? Are people leaving Eastenders to watch the news to see if Dirty Bozo gets his?

So, that’s the best you can come up with, ‘as a minimum…’ you really are a joke. Put forward what you THINK he should be actually doing, then think about what he actually can do…

You have to realise that there are, albeit sadly, rules in the HoC. Unfortunately this speaker prefers to uphold them in favour of the Tory bar stewards.

I’ve been involved in politics over 50 years.

There is absolutely no doubt that there was a party and also a leaving party a few weeks earlier which Chief evil Clown attended but they seem detemined to try and lie their way out of it and hope that bringing in contraversial Covid measures will distract enough for the storm to blow over.
Putting the Cabinet secratary in charge of investigations is about as sensible as asking Mr Wolf to investigate why Sheep were mysteriously disappearing from the farm
It seems this party wast an isolated incident either

Yes. Because for most people everything is now entertainment.

In ‘Borisland’ we’ve a happy chappy always getting into scrapes and making us laugh. Ooooh… he’s done bad things! Well, that’s what you expect from a rogue. Can’t wait to see what he’ll be up to next week!

That’s why there’s no credible opposition. Anyone who takes things seriously isn’t credible because they’re boring.

And for how long have you dodged anger management classes? Seriously, no need to be so aggressive. You can make your point without telling him he's a joke etc.
