Johnson could literally curl one out on the flag and it wouldn't change their voting intention.

I think other posters have pointed out the futility of such an approach. For me, Starmer is growing in stature.

And they might ask which former leader landed Keir opposite an 80 seat majority.

Nothing to do with Brexit, Bias Tory press/ Media and Labour infighting from the Right of the Party then. That’s not to excuse poor leadership by Corbyn at times, but genuine question which of his policies were so bad?

And which member of Labour's top team before the last election pushed for the ridiculous position on Brexit which helped alienate countless red wall voters?

If I ever see Rees-Mogg - and I admit, it's highly unlikely - I'm going to punch him in the balls.

Might land me in court for GBH, but I don't really care.

The Tory media do that with all Labour leaders at some point - it goes with the territory. He failed to agree a deal with May which would have preserved CU or SM membership and preserved EU workers' rights. Almost alone in the Western world he refused to acknowledge any blame on the part of Russia for the Salisbury poisonings, making him look untrustworthy on security in the eyes of the public. He failed to capitalise by making May apologise for her government being found in contempt of parliament. Whatever his own views, he failed to grip the problem of perceived anti-semitism within Labour. How much do you want?

I've seen it mentioned in other places - and I tend to agree - that it is not in Labours interest to depose Johnson before an election. If/when he is removed, he will be replaced with someone equally corrupt and evil, but more competent - like Gove or Sunak. They will then go to the country telling people that they are the only ones that can fix the mess that they spent the last 12-14 years making and will probably get voted in (likely with a smaller majority)....

Why are folk mentioning Labour here? You're arguing amongst yourselves and missing the true target. Basically doing the Tufton Street cabal's work for them.

Stay on point people, remove the head of snake and hopefully a general election is around the corner.

Is a GE in labours best interests at the minute though? I'm pretty sure they'd still get trounced...

Not sure, but folk are angry and more scandals will keep coming.
Only way for Tories to get out of this mess is to remove Boris and I can't see how anyone in the cabinet barring Sunak could run for leader.
Sunak would fail, let's just say there are too many in the Tory party and society who may have an issue with his appearance.

A lot of Tory’s failed to agree with May, I agree he should’ve dealt with the whole anti- semtism better, which was also convenient for his opponents in the Labour party. I do not believe for one moment the other things you mention had any bearing whatsoever on the election results. The former ‘ red wall’ constituents were simply interested in ‘ GettingvBrexit done and the ‘issue’ of immigration.

How much do you want about Starmer's ineptitude, lies and undermining of his fellow parliamentarians? Works both ways Mr Kaht. If you wish to dish out the dirt on Corbyn that's ok if its justifiable dirt and backed up by evidence but you should be willing to accept similar about Starmer. Corbyn was by no means a good leader in my view for reasons I've stated before but he was badly served by people who should have supported him as well. As far as Starmer is concerned he is better at the dispatch box than Corbyn - no doubt in my mind - but he has some big faults on various levels and they should be acknowledged. Simply comparing him against Corbyn and suggesting he's the good guy replacing the bad guy doesn't wash.
