RE: It's OK breaking up the play

Colace's awareness found Anderson for the first goal.

Wonder how people would have reacted had Davey played Anderson down the right.

All managers play players out of what the fans believe is their natural position and Mark Robins is no different.

You're right only crap managers do that

Thats why its a good job we got rid of Davey and brought in Robins who only plays central midfielders in central midfield (colace and doyle) and has dropped the teachers pet right back (JCR) and **** me we've started winning.

A nice phone call to you and offer of a cup of tea and biscuits does not make a good manager SM

Except it seems to work when Robins does it. Thats the difference between good and bad managers is it not?

I thought he was steady away and did a pretty good job. He's the kind of player that will do the shitty job well, the job that goes unnoticed but is very important to the team.

RE: Playing a right back in central midfield

Playing players out of position was not the reason why Davey was a fecking **** manager. Most managers do this from time to time.

I just think people are very inconsistent. They'll quite happily gloss over the fact that Robins plays players out of position but still use it as a stick with which to beat Davey.

Anderson down the right is working at the moment, but we did win games with JCR in the middle.

For the record I think Robins is getting considerably more out of the squad than Davey was getting, but Davey wasn't a complete failure. He kept us in the division three times. As yet Mark Robins hasn't achieved anything, although I am enjoying the games much more at present so long may that continue.

Fair comment. It's time we all forgot about Mr Davey and concentrated on the future.
