In which case then, you should be approaching and taking it slowly, so you didn't have to slam the brakes on if there was a hazard round the corner.

I struggled to pass my test as well so bought myself a smoker got my uncle to take me out night after nignt driving all over the place till it became second nature went into my 4th test really relaxed and passed,good luck dude.

Another way to relax

Get really pissed, but make sure you have a tic-tac just before you get in the car to hide the evidence.

Also, if it's a female examiner, do the caterpiller towards the car, to get her interested in you and then touch her leg every time you go to change gear.
