That makes sense, thank you. Suppose they’ll need the extra money if they’re paying compo for Duff or anyone else currently in a job.
Compensation varies based on which league Southampton are in and each club is saying different as it affects amount.
In 2011/12, Barnsley finished 21st in the Championship - avoiding relegation because of a 10 point penalty to Portsmouth.
And he knew Devaney who would surely have told him during the season (before he was approached) what was going on, and he’s seen and played a major role in healing those rifts. I think he will stay.
No, he wouldn't have said that, but didn't need to dwell on the point that he's not here for five minutes etc...

So we've effectively "lost" Isted, as well as being likely to lose Mads and Duff. I'm all for trading players to stay afloat but it doesn't half make watching football at oakwell feel transactional, temporary, that there's no point getting excited.. I, like many others here, am already hooked on Barnsley and will never look elsewhere for my football, but I do wonder what effect our strategy has on young children.. as a child I loved the players I saw and got excited to see them. The love for the club came after that. Do the kids these days have any "heroes" - who is it they're looking at and thinking "he's one of ours" Anyway, we all worried about who could possibly replace Hecky, then Stendel, then Struber, then Ismael, and now Duff. We've always found another, in amongst a gaggle of duds, and the club will continue to do it's best to win football matches, be competitive and stay financially viable. That brings me comfort.
