Swansea back in training Friday (tomorrow) with Wales online reporting Duff could lead the session: Michael Duff to Swansea City Live: Updates as Swans close in on Barnsley boss as Russell Martin replacement - Wales Online

Michael Duff sat down with journalists in South Wales Thursday afternoon to confirm his arrival and long-term plans with the Swans:
'I've had 3 clubs in 28 years,' said Michael. 'I'm not just a fly-by-night, here-for-five-minutes' type of bloke; I'm fully committed to the project and what we're trying to build here at Swans. I can't wait to get going.' etc etc etc.

Everything the club tried to put in place towards the end of last season just been undone in less than a week. Can’t wait to see how we try to spin this one.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if this drags out a wee bit longer. I like Swansea but they can't half drag out contractual negotiations.
Just hope we can announce our new coach sooner rather than later and get our transfer business done and get settled.

“We’ll do everything we can to keep him”
“Did you offer him a new contract? Give him assurances that you would replace any experienced players leaving with experienced players coming in?”
    “Erm…”

How many more days did he spend at the helm over “mercenary” Ismael? About 10?

Which is why Khaled doesn't need to fanny around in appointing a new manager IF Duff is indeed Swansea bound. Plenty of decent managers seeking gainful employment at least two of which have connections with this neck of the woods (Wilder and Moore).

Bit embarrassing being 4th choice in any job, reminds me of Wilson's move to the Pigs after they'd asked everyone but the tea lady to take the job. Mind you people will do owt for a bit of brass.

The big news is Duff is staying. Let the rumour fester and build and then swoop in and save the day style

Why do people seem to want Moore if Duff does go? Hoofball, doesn't go with what is supposed to be the core offer at Oakwell. Rules him out immediately for me.

Moore seems an honest and likeable bloke. Many remember him fondly from when he played for us. And he just got a very limited team promoted from our division scoring plenty of goals and a points total that would usually result in promotion.

Regardless of what we think of the pigs he got them to 96 points last season, 96.
Would have pissed the league if it wasn't such a freak season.
I think that's a reason why some may want him here
Also seem to think VI's team not keeping it on the floor much, also seem to recall is playing some outstanding football that season aswell
