    But this thread IS in a roundabout way about a management appointment mate . The person I responded to laid the blame at Khaleds door. Nareev said they were hoping to have someone in place by the 6th june not khaled At the forum. He then went on to say. If not, Preferably by the time the players are back in training. They are drifting back from yesterday with them all due back by the 20th.
    Not trusting anything he says. is tantamount to calling him a liar on everything. Anyone who believes that. Can crack on. I don't happen to have that view.
    This is not a criticism of yourself btw as I don't put you on the same footing.. Waiting to be convinced is not tantamount to calling him a liar.

    Fair point. I was coming from it from a different angle I guess.
    Bottom line for me is the managerial appointment is one of the key tasks of Khaled's job. His record so far in my eyes isn't good but I'm willing to concede he may have been constrained by what Conway was telling him to do last season. He needs to make a sound managerial appointment this time round though. Doesn't have to be someone who gets us promoted but definitely someone who can start to rebuild convincingly.

    I'm not so sure it's his final shout on the managers position though. I'm guessing. He'll have to report back to those not present at the interviews. And the board will make the final decision. He will obviously have his own thoughts. Whether they act on those. Is to be seen. Hopefully he/they go for the one who they think will produce a team with promotion as the main priority and not the cheapest option. Discussing Terms to see if they are in the same ballpark would have to be the first discussion for me. As what would be the point of continuing with the interview.
    Re Duff if Blackpool have made an approach (and . I don't think we can compete. On both monetary and the attraction of managing in the Championship.
    I don't have a favourite in mind personally. I just wish whoever comes in, the best. Experience imo doesn't mean success is guaranteed.

    Neerav was very clear at the Fans Forum or at the Presser that decisions will be taken in the boardroom. Khaled will be doing the legwork but the Board will have final say.

    Because I’ve not liked the way he’s come across since his first interview. He may have misworded some things but I just think he’s still not trustworthy, but I’m hoping he can prove me wrong

    But is he making a mess of the legwork? Seems like we have a shortlist of 5, he's named two of them that are already employed elsewhere and suggested that the shortlist will get longer. In the meantime, one has turned us down and another is now speaking to a Championship club.

    The job has been vacant since April.
