Stendel. I know he's not done much since he left us, but I loved that season he was here and I thought it'd bring back a bit of magic and optimism to the club
Am struggling not to get excited, if it comes off and we see real football people coming into the club al be counting the days to kick off....ah may even buy a round..crazy eh
Had me sold on the first four words of the very first point made. Our players last season most of the time looked like they had been on Wellington Street the night before, woke with a hangover and the pre match meal was a packet of 20 cigarettes.
maybe this is common, I dunno. but feels very odd that this is happening - and cheltenham journos are publicly commenting on it - yet we still haven't announced it as a Club.
We've had it with players before. Where the selling club have announced a player whilst we've got them posing for photos at Oakwell in their shirt or with the scarf. Might just be a case of ironing out a couple of details today and doing the photoshoot? Cheltenham were very clever not to name us as the club. So at the moment it's just journo speculation (which we all know is true)
Haven't watched this myself yet but will try to later. Would guess this is the best 'deep dive' in to Duff's managerial career to date (or it might be really rubbish!).
I have watched it a few times. It is a good insight into him as a person and his work ethic but nothing else really. Doesn't mention anything about his managerial style etc. but then again it is only a short video just over a minute long. He certainly seems to be very well liked and respected by those who have worked with him in the past whether that was during his playing or managerial career which is a positive sign for sure.
I don't think you've clicked the link to the full documentary mate. It's close to 30 minutes. Edit - Video won't share below so hyperlinked the red text above.
if this has been already posted, apologies if it has. I did't know anything about him when we were first linked with him, read a few articles and liked what I saw. I've just watched this and I've got to say I had butterflies in my stomach in anticipation of what could happen. Given time and patience this guy may just be the best apointment since Alan Clark. His attitude and belief's are absolutely spot on. If possible this video ought to be put on the clubs website.
