    So the fact that the Torres got 1 MP for every 50,000 votes but the Lib Dems got 1 MP for every 300,000 votes is democratic?

    No party since the war has got anywhere near a majority of the popular vote not even Thatcher or Blair at their peaks.

    They would probably have got the majority in the House with Ulster Unionist support though.
