Agreed, mostly. I do hope we push the boat out as far as we can to get someone who's demonstrated an ability to find the net in senior football.

Mallan has played more as an attacking Cm who can play on the wing if he has to. Sessi and JW have 5 professional games between them.

My concern for both Williams & Ugbo as well is that it's their first season playing proper football - it's a huge step up from u23s. The chances of them staying fit & fresh all season, IMHO, is zero.

You don't think we will sign anybody by the close of the transfer window?

I can only see us playing 451 who would we play in center mid in a 442? Any 2 of mowatt mcgeehan mallan and moncour would be too weak imo. If we do play 442 williams would be the 1st name in the center midfield as he is the only midfielder we have who could break up play and turn defence into attack. We could do with a joey barton in cm if he wasn't banned.

Think we will start with Moncur and Williams in CM.

Does my head in this. Tammy Abraham had no 1st team experience, Ashley Fletcher had not 1st team experience

Like all our signings & our whole squad last season every player we have comes with that sort of risk where they are not proven at this level

Looks like we could miss out on Mc Burnie. Swansea are mulling over a £50 million bid
from Everton for Gylfi Sigurdsson and Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is weighing up a £110 million spree
by taking Juventus full back Alex Sandro for £60 million, midfielder Antonio Candreva from
Inter Milan for £30 million and Swansea striker Fernando Llorente who Conte managed at
Juventus who would probably cost him £8 million, with the remaining £12 million being spent on Fluminese
forward Richarllson. If Llorente and Sigurdsson do leave the word is that Swans boss Clement might be reluctant to let Mc Burnie out on loan.

Fletcher was used initially as a substitute and gradually brought into the team with experienced colleagues at the side of him not expected to be a major part of the team straightaway. Abraham had Wilbraham at tbe side of him to act as a minder.

Also signed with little experience Joe Rothwell, Dan Crowley, Conor Wilkinson, Elder.

Selectively picking examples adds little to your argument.

    For me we need :

Full back ( wouldn't mind if we get Jones back from Everton as he can cover both RB & LB. )
Winger that can play on either flanks.
1 permanent striker with some success in League football in the past couple of seasons.
1 loan striker most likely McBurnie as long as Llorente isn't sold and fit by the start of PL.

But that's just it isn't it. You can't really judge them for good and you can't really judge them for bad yet. You have get players like above but then you also get your Mason Holgate's and Adam Davies's.

This applies to every sort of footballer though. With experienced players you have your Hammill's and you have your Lita's. With overseas players you have your Mossto's & you have your Anderson Da Silva's. With Non-League signings you have your Roberts & Macdonalds but you also have your Jacksons & Tutons.

You'd have thought in the past few years folk would have realised not to judge a player on where they come from.

To be fair the kid is only 21. He started out at Bradford City at 17 years old before joining Swansea and he
has had loan spells with Newport, Bristol Rovers and Chester.

In 48 League and Cup games he's scored 10 goals. Last season former Swansea legend
Leighton James was even calling for him to be given a chance in the Swansea first team so he must rate him.
Lee Johnson is also keen to take him on a permanent apparently.
Surprised that Hecky admitted an interest in the Chronicle if he didn't rate him.

Gethin Jones is so 'toss' Everton have given him a new contract and he is now a fixture in the full Wales squad. Still what do Koeman and Coleman know eh?
