Turners are good, oh they are - but they aren't as good as Speedies. In my subjective opinion anyway.
Entered Percy's Pork Pie in a competition in Worksop and it did not win. Three Reds fans gobsmacked. The winning pie walked it and apparently a small butcher who has won national awards. We have tracked him down to a small village near Markam Moor (A1). Wi not having this....to be continued. Note: 27 pies entered and Percy's up there in top 5.
Speedies up Monk Bretton, just shade it over Percy's. Both delicious. I like them hot with mushy peas and mint sauce. Warm, on their own. Cold with brarn sauce. Can't beat a good juicy growler.
